Contact Moovers

Phone, email, hours and the area we cover, plus what to have in front of you when you call so the conversation takes five minutes instead of fifteen. Quotes are free, carry no obligation, and get a reply the same business day.

Ways to reach us

  • Phone: (631) 256-4498. Fastest option, and the best one if your move is soon.
  • Email: hello@wearemoovers.com. Best for anything with details or attachments, like building requirements or an inventory list.
  • Quote form: /quote. Takes a few minutes, gets you a reply the same business day, and there is a ballpark estimator on the same page if you just want a range first.
  • Starter Kit request: /starter-kit, if what you want is the free kit that comes with an in-person quote on moves of two bedrooms and up.
  • Facebook and Instagram, both linked in the footer of every page on this site.

Hours, and how quickly we come back to you

Moovers is open seven days a week. We are a moving company, not a call centre, so the phone is answered during working hours rather than around the clock.

Quote requests sent through the form get a reply the same business day. If you send something late in the evening or over a holiday, it goes into the next business day.

Confirm the exact opening and closing hours for each day of the week, and whether calls outside those hours reach a voicemail or an answering service.

Where we are and where we work

Our yard is in Lake Ronkonkoma, New York. We serve Suffolk and Nassau Counties for local moves, and long-distance moves start from here and go out of state.

The full list of towns we cover is at /areas. If your town is not obvious on that list, call and ask rather than assuming, particularly for a move that starts on Long Island and ends somewhere else.

Confirm the yard's street address, whether customers can visit it, and where paperwork or documents should be mailed if not by email.

What to have ready when you call about a move

None of this is required to call. Having it makes the first call short and the quote accurate.

  • Both addresses, or at least both zip codes.
  • Your target date, and how flexible it is. Flexibility is worth a lot at month-end.
  • Home size, in bedrooms, plus whether there is a basement, attic, garage or shed that is coming with you.
  • Access at both ends: stairs and how many, elevator or walkup, and where a truck can park.
  • Anything oversized or unusual: piano, safe, pool table, large tank, gym equipment, oversized art.
  • Whether you are packing yourself or want the crew to do some or all of it.
  • Whether you may need storage, because a date could move.
  • Any building requirement you already know about, especially a certificate of insurance or a booked elevator window.

Calling about storage, junk removal or a dumpster

  • For storage: roughly how much, for roughly how long, and whether it is going into storage straight off a move.
  • For junk removal: what it is, roughly how much of it, and where it sits in the house or yard right now.
  • For a dumpster: what you are clearing out, and where the dumpster can be placed, including whether it will sit on a driveway or the street.
  • For all three, a few photos sent to hello@wearemoovers.com are worth a long description.
  • Our full service list is at /services.

What happens after you get in touch

Someone gets back to you the same business day to work out what kind of job it is. For anything of a decent size we will suggest an in-person walkthrough, which is free and comes with the Starter Kit on qualifying moves.

After the walkthrough you get a price in writing that commits you to nothing. If you book, you get a point of contact at the office who stays with the job through to the last box.

Rather just get the price?

The quote form takes a few minutes and comes back the same business day, with no obligation attached to it.
