Dumpster rentals on Long Island
We drop a container at your place, you fill it on your own schedule, we come take it away. It suits renovations, cleanouts and anything where the work happens over days rather than in one afternoon.
Placement is the first decision
Most containers go on the driveway, close enough to the door or the garage that you are not walking debris across the lawn. The truck needs a clear, straight approach and enough overhead room, so trim branches and move cars before the drop.
Driveways take marks. Plywood under the rails spreads the load and protects blacktop, pavers and freshly sealed surfaces, and it is worth asking for if your driveway is newer. If the only spot is the street, check with your village or town first, because a permit is often required for a container on a public road.
Sizing it and filling it
Undersizing is the common mistake. A single bathroom gut, a roof, a basement clear-out and a whole-house renovation are wildly different volumes, and a second haul costs more than getting the size right the first time. Describe the project when you book and we will tell you which container fits it.
Load heavy material low and flat, break down anything bulky, and keep everything under the fill line. A container loaded above the rails cannot be legally hauled, so the driver would have to wait while it comes back down.
What goes in and what does not
Household debris, furniture, renovation waste, yard waste and general clear-out material are all normal. Clean fill like concrete, brick, dirt and roofing shingles is heavy enough that it usually needs its own container and its own arrangement.
Kept out entirely: paint, solvents, motor oil, gasoline, propane tanks, batteries, pesticides, asbestos, tires, medical waste and refrigerant appliances. These carry real penalties at the transfer station and they are the customer's, so ask before you toss something you are unsure about.
How the rental period works
You book a drop date and a rough pickup date. If the project runs long, call and extend it rather than letting it sit. If you finish early, call and we will pull it sooner so it is not taking up your driveway for the sake of the calendar.
