Tips from the crew

What we tell every client.

Pack a kitchen in one afternoon

Start with what you never use, like the fondue set and the cabinet full of vases. Then plates on their edges (never flat) with paper between, glasses in divided boxes, heavy things in small boxes.

Leave out one “last morning” bin: coffee maker, two mugs, a pan, dish soap. It travels in your car, not the truck.

The 60-minute move-day morning

Clear a path from the farthest room to the front door. Kids and pets to a neighbor or one “closed door” room. Doormats up, driveway clear for the truck.

Keep documents, chargers, meds, and valuables in one bag that stays with you. Then meet the crew and point at what goes first.

What movers can’t take (plan ahead)

Propane tanks, gasoline, paint, aerosols, and most cleaning chemicals can’t ride in the truck. Use them up, give them away, or check your town’s hazardous-waste drop-off before move week.

Plants and perishables travel best in your own car. Trucks get hot.

Storing smart between homes

Label every box on two sides, and keep a “first week” group that loads last so it unloads first. We log what goes into storage as it comes off the truck, so you can find out what is in there without opening anything.

If closing dates might slip, book storage along with the move. The same crew handles it once and you get one bill.
